However, her family played a key role in shaping her future.Her father, Rajpal Phogat, passed away when she was very young. After his death, Vinesh and her cousins ​​were raised and trained by their uncle, Mahavir Singh Phogat, a former wrestler and renowned coach. Mahavir Singh Phogat believed that girls could excel in wrestling just as much as boys, and he began training Vinesh with his cousins.Vinesh belongs to the famous Phogat family, which includes internationally renowned wrestlers like Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari.
